EBDVF INFORE workshop

On the 29th of November, an INFORE workshop was organised successfully in the context of the European Data Value Forum. The workshop started with an introductory presentation by the project coordinator, who talked about the challenges and the objectives of INFORE. Then, RapidMiner presented the INFORE architecture and ATHENA gave a presentation with title “Cross-Platform Optimization of Data Processing Workflows”. Next, NCSR concluded the part of the workshop that was dedicated to the technological advances of INFORE by presenting the Complex Event Forecasting component. The final part of the workshop was dedicated to the three use cases, starting from the Life Science use case presentation with title “Multi-scale simulations of cancer growth”. Spring gave the Financial use case presentation with title “Real-time forecasting on Financial Market Data”. Last, the Maritime use case was presented by both MarineTraffic and NATO-STO-CMRE. The first part was titled “Data-driven Maritime Event Detection & Forecasting over Big Maritime Data” and the second part was titled “A Robotic Hybrid Network for Coastal Surveillance: Results from INFORE Project”. The presentations of the three use cases showcased the adoption of the technological advances of INFORE in the respective applications.
Finally, a Q&A session concluded the workshop.
